J. Daniel Smithson, MD specializes in family medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, and diabetic education and management. Dr. Smithson practiced family medicine at Baker Clinic before co-founding Eastern Oregon Medical Associates. See more HERE.
D Nathan Defrees, MD
Supervising Physician

Dean N. Defrees, MD is a native to Baker County who enjoys caring for whole families and patients of every age, and has special interests in obstetrics, women's health, pediatrics, and treating hepatitis C.
Prior to his medical education, Dr. Defrees studied biology at Oregon State University. In his free time, he enjoys helping with his family's cattle ranch and exploring eastern Oregon with his wife and family.

Robert Bachman, PT
Pine Eagle Physical Therapy
​
Rob is a 1985 graduate of Pacific University’s Physical Therapy program in Forest Grove. He practiced in the Portland area for 11 years before moving to Baker City and opening Baker Valley Physical Therapy. In 2006, recognizing a need for rehab services in eastern Baker County and with the assistance of Kate Grace, PA-C, he opened a physical therapy clinic in Halfway, where he sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Outpatient services are provided in the Baker Valley PT office Monday thru Friday by Rob and his great group of physical therapists and support staff who offer a wide range of both generalized and specialized physical therapy services.
Rehab services currently offered in the Pine Eagle PT office include:

General orthopedic rehabilitation

Specialized services including Mechanical Diagnosis & Treatment and ASTYM treatment.
